WELCOME TO THE ANGERS AND SURROUNDING AREAS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WEBSITE!
|
 |
COTRA IN A NUTSHELL |
|
The COTRA, the Angers Region Transportation Company (a translation), provides public transportation for the 31 towns and villages which make up Angers and its surrounding areas.
Thanks to our fleet of 172 buses and 55 coaches used to service the suburban and school routes, more than 27 million journeys were undertaken on our bus routes in 2008.

OUR BUS SERVICE |
|
URBAN WEEK-DAY SERVICE (bus numbers 1 to 10, 15 and 16) operates from Monday to Saturday, from 6 A.M. to 9 P.M. and provides regular and rapid bus service in Angers and the neighboring towns and villages.
NIGHT-TIME SERVICE: you can take bus numbers 11, 12, and 14 from Monday to Saturday.
They link the center town of Angers to the main areas of the city and its surrounding area from 9 P.M.
to 1 A.M. The last buses leave center town between 12 midnight and 12:45 A.M. To make your trip easier,
all the night bus connections are made at PLACE LORRAINE (LORRAINE and FOCH bus stops).
SUNDAY AND HOLIDAY SERVICE includes 5 bus routes (bus numbers 21, 22, 23, 25, and 26)
which cover approximately the same area as the week-day routes. Bus numbers 21 and 22
(which connect the railway station and the town center to the universities) run every 20 to 40 minutes
while the others run approximately every hour. Like the night-time buses, all the Sunday and holiday
bus connections are made at PLACE LORRAINE.
SUBURBAN SERVICE: 12 suburban bus routes (numbers 30 to 41) connect Angers
(the SNCF railway station or the bus station) to the surrounding towns and villages.
Several same-day return trips are scheduled from Monday to Saturday.

WELCOME ON OUR BUS ROUTES! |

Situated near the Town Hall, PLACE LORRAINE is the main hub for bus connections and transfers. Our ticket office is also located here to help you select the most appropriate bus fare.
If you are arriving from the Angers-Saint Laud SNCF railway station (Angers is only 1 hour and 35
minutes away from Paris by high-speed train), you can easily reach the GARE PAPIN, GARE BREMOND and GARE SEMARD
bus stops. During the week, 8 bus routes service the railway station and allow you to quickly reach
center town (5 minutes) and the university faculties. To help you find your way more easily, an
interactive information terminal is available in the main hall of the railway station (information is
available in English).
To get to the UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES from the town center, nothing could be easier:
BELLE-BEILLE CAMPUS (Arts and Science Faculties, IUT, ESSCA...):
Bus number 1 direction Belle-Beille (IUT bus stop), service every 7 minutes.
LAW, ECONOMICS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES FACULTY (Place F. Mitterand): Mitterand bus stop for
